by DrewLUD

The Virginia Coast Guard had to make a rescue after a boat sunk Monday during the White Marlin Open.

A boat called Knott Stressing took on water during the afternoon session about 60 miles offshore, according to White Marlin Open officials.

There were no injuries and everyone was safely rescued. The Coast Guard responded after the distress call was made. The boat also got an assist from a boat called Fishbone, which helped rescue some of the anglers, according to the tournament’s Facebook page.
