The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says a former Wicomico Day School employee accused of stealing more than $20,000 from the school faces theft charges.

The sheriff’s office criminal criminal investigation division received an internal complaint on Aug. 25 after the Wicomico Day School’s owner discovered several unauthorized purchases on school credit cards.

The school provided investigators with financial documents, according to a news release, and identified former employee Jennifer Coady of Salisbury as the person who made the purchases.
