Three cars were destroyed in a fast-spreading fire located on the fifth floor of the Towson Town Center parking garage Tuesday morning, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.
A fuel spill from one of the involved vehicles was determined as the cause of the fire. A hazmat crew was called in for assistance.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 700 block of Fairmount Avenue around 9:41 a.m, and the one-alarm fire was extinguished at 10:15 a.m.
Because the fire was located on the fifth floor of a parking garage, firefighters used a ladder-pipe operation to extinguish the fire. This means they used a ladder truck to line up the hose to the fifth floor.
There were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
