Investigators are working to locate a suspect wanted in a recent Salisbury shooting that injured three people, according to police.
In a Tuesday news release, the Salisbury Police Department identified 18-year-old Izreal Wallace of Salisbury as the person charged with attempted first-degree murder in a July 13 shooting in the 100 block of First Street.
Officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area at about 5:43 p.m. that day. Police said they met with a 19-year-old woman who had injuries consistent with being grazed by a bullet.
Officers learned two more victims, a 28-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, had already gone to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. Each of the men sustained injuries from being shot with a firearm, according to police.
Emergency medical personnel took the female victim to TidalHealth for treatment as well. Police said none of the injuries from the shooting were life threatening.
Officers and detectives determined a group of individuals had gotten into an argument in the middle of the 100 block of First Street that turned physical. A suspect then fled the fight, police said, running north on First Street while firing a handgun at those still involved in the confrontation.
Detectives identified Wallace as the person responsible for the shooting, according to police, and an arrest warrant has been issued.
Police said he is still at large and “should be considered armed and dangerous.”
