Maryland weather: Hurricane Ida to bring heavy rain to Western Maryland by midweek and storms throughout state

Ray Martin, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said the current projected path for the Category 4 hurricane should bring significant rainfall to the region starting Tuesday, although the hurricane’s strength is expected to decrease significantly as it makes its way across the country.
