SNOW HILL – The Ocean Pines Association received permission Monday to count ballots for its 2021 election.
Judge Sidney Campen ruled at Worcester County Circuit Court on Monday to not grant a temporary injunction on the election, allowing the association to count the votes.
Campen left up to the Ocean Pines Association Board of Directors the decision on if it will certify the election once votes are counted. The OPA did not release information regarding next steps in counting the votes at of early Monday evening.
The court had previously issued a temporary restraining order Aug. 10, putting a hold on vote counting before it began, after candidate Richard Farr was announced as ineligible by Ocean Pines.
