SALISBURY, Md.— Two suspects have been arrested in a Wednesday morning fatal shooting in Wicomico County, one suspect is still at large.
Leslie Teo, 25, and Drequan Savage, 27, were arrested Wednesday night by Maryland State and Salisbury Police. The Salisbury natives are both facing multiple murder charges in the death of Gerald Nash, according to police.
The 28-year-old of Caroline County was shot that morning, and Salisbury Police were called to the 600 block of Hill Street at about 10:30 a.m. Police say they located the victim with the gunshot wound, and emergency medical personnel proceeded to rush him to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.
Nash was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police, after beginning treatment for the injury. An autopsy is pending at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
Police believe Teo and Savage were assisted by one more, unknown suspect. State Police say the initial investigation shows the group conspired to rob Nash of property that Savage believed had been recently stolen by the victim.
Teo is charged with first and second degree murder, and Savage is also charged with first and second degree murder, as well as first and second degree assault and other criminal charges, according to police. Both are being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center without bond.
A search is currently underway for the third suspect as the investigation continues.
