Police seek suspect in Salisbury shooting that injured 3

The Salisbury Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a Tuesday shooting that injured three people.

Officers responded to the 100 block of First Street at about 5:43 p.m. for a report of gunshots, according to a Wednesday morning news release.

Police said they met with a 19-year-old victim who had injuries consistent with having been grazed by a bullet.

Officers soon learned that a 28-year-old victim and a 19-year-old victim had already gone to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. Police said each of the men had sustained an injury from being shot with a firearm.

The 19-year-old woman was also taken to TidalHealth for treatment. None of the injuries sustained were life threatening, police said.

An investigation determined an argument in the middle of First Street escalated to a physical confrontation. Police said an unknown male suspect ran north on First Street away from the fight while firing a handgun at people still in the confrontation.

Officers and detectives processed the scene and recovered evidence indicating a firearm incident had taken place, according to police.
