The Somerset County Board of Education has announced a new meeting date and time for the postponed Sept. 21 meeting.
The rescheduled meeting will begin virtually at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28. According to the meeting agenda, the open portion of the meeting will start at 6 p.m.
The meeting can be streamed here, according to a press release.
During the virtual meeting, the board plans to review Policy 200-28, Face Coverings in School Facilities. The Sept. 21 meeting was postponed after numerous people refused to wear masks at the meeting.
Somerset County public schools initially made masks optional indoors for all students, staff and visitors. However, after Maryland passed a state mandate requiring masks in all public schools, the district said it would comply with the mandate.
The release says those who wish to share public comments with the board and superintendent should email email@example.com.
